  • Abstract
Measurements of CW signals at 144.935, 433.935 and 861.512 MHz emanating from a common location were performed simultaneously employing a vehicle in motion in various non-urban environments in the vicinity of Ottawa, Canada, during summer, autumn and winter seasons. The study of the short-term signal variations reveals a Rician signal intensity distribution, with correlation coefficients between the deduced Rician model and experimental distributions greater than .98 in the great majority of cases. Observed LOS/STD (line-of-sight signal intensity to multipath intensity) ratios (between 1.89 and 4.11) show no simple relationships to frequency, environment or season.
