Abstract
Cognitive radio networks(CRNs) is a framework to combine every distributing secondary user together by one protocol approach that makes primary users and secondary users work in order. In traditional CRNs technology, secondary users should sense all frequencies periodically by spectrum sensor while it is communicating. But it presents one problem that secondary users will stop to sense all frequencies if primary users appear on the band, while the communication delay depends on the number of users. In this letter, we propose a new CRNs protocol STM based mesh-type network that senses the spectrum by combing tradeoff among secondary users with traditional spectrum sensor.
