  • Abstract
    Multiresolution CFAR detection algorithm in wavelet domain using db4 wavelet is investigated in this paper, which can be incorporated into SAR image compression system. It is derived on a multiscale model of SAR imagery. Thanks to the structure of this model and detection in wavelet domain, calculation is much simpler than that of two parameter CFAR detection algorithm in image domain. Tests on simulated and collected image show that the proposed algorithm performs best. The algorithm is more suitable for the application in ROI-based image compression than two parameter CFAR detection algorithm in image domain.
