  • Abstract
    Building apertures are the main source of electromagnetic wave penetration into buildings. The shielding effectiveness is evaluated for different thirteen models of apertures to cover all possible variation of designs, which may affect the radiation levels inside buildings. The analysis is performed in cellular communication frequency bands because the cellular base station becomes the main source of radiation inside buildings. Finite difference time domain method is used because most of the analytical methods is restricted by many conditions such as simplicity of designs and electrically small apertures that is not applicable in building apertures case.
