Abstract
A new concept, radiometric multiresolution analysis (RMA) is proposed. An algorithm for computing the RMA is presented. It is, analytically and experimentally, shown that the RMA is a useful tool to analyze the model images with multiplicative correlated noise, which provide a new method to filter or restore this white noise-like signal, such as an SAR image
