Abstract
In Europe, each electric utility has its own way to deal with power quality matters, as standards on the topic are not really constraining. The aim of this report is to show firstly how this issue is dealt with in France in describing present status, and secondly to examine how things could evolve with the implementation in February 2000 of the European Directive on the deregulation of the electrical sector
