Abstract
For pt.I see ibid., p.404-9, 2000. The paper presents the results of the simulation of the long arc in free air and the procedure of the estimation of its model parameters. First, through the computer simulation a typical example of an arcing fault on overhead lines is given. Then, the least error squares estimation method is presented. The unknown model parameters are estimated from the computer simulated and laboratory obtained data. The estimated parameters can be used for the purpose of the computer simulation
