Abstract
The spatial spectrum of electric charge distribution on the IDT fingers describe, in first approximation, the IDT frequency response. The paper develops a method for evaluation of the charge distribution on tapered (`fan´) IDTs which lacks developed analytical method since they were first proposed in 1972. Here, a modified Kelvin transformation is used to transform a `fan´ IDT into a system of almost parallel strips, with modified strip voltages and the induced substrate anisotropy, which system can be analyzed with help of appropriate methods known in SAW literature
