Abstract
A constructive procedure is proposed for three-dimensional (3D) single-input single-output (SISO) state-space realization. The new realization procedure exposes the structural properties of 3D Roesser model and provides important insights for multidimensional (nD) realization problem. It is computationally more efficient and leads to a possibly lower order realization than the existing algorithms. An illustrative example is presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed procedure
