  • Abstract
To the problem that current real-time Ethernet POWERLINK cannot implement cross-communication, this paper proposes a scheme to implement cross-communication based on mastering the real-time Ethernet POWERLINK. The cross-communication between any two nodes in the network can be achieved by customizing the protocol stack of the real-time Ethernet POWERLINK and configuring the network parameters. Cross-communication is a crucial application for the technology of the real-time Ethernet POWERLINK. On one hand, cross-communication can expand the scope of the interaction of information from line to surface by improving the information transmission rate of network. On the other hand, cross-communication allows distributed design for network, thereby improving the stability and safety of system connected by real-time Ethernet POWERLINK. Experiments show that this scheme can improve the data transmission efficiency of the network to a certain extent.
