  • Abstract
    Recently, complex system has been considered by complex networks. The fractal and self-similarity properties are revealed in many real complex networks. The visibility graph which can convert a time series into a graph. In this paper, music notation is considered as a time series. And then, the fractal and self-similarity properties of music are revealed using box-covering algorithm of complex networks. The proposed method is applied to calculate the fractal dimensions of some real music. Our results show that the proposed method is efficient to study the fractal and self-similarity properties of music.
