Abstract
This paper presents two transceiver architectures for Ultra Wide Band. The first uses the PPM modulation and the second, the PPV modulation. These architectures are characterized by a low complexity and are suitable for implementation using CMOS technology. Both of the systems are non-coherent, using autocorrelation receiver. They have new techniques for receiver synchronization and bit detection which offers a good performance. Simulated results show the performance improvement of the autocorrelation receivers.
