Abstract
The paper presents design and implementation of an integrated Smart Substation laboratory with flexible structure and multifunction. Comparing with other laboratory, integration and system level are the outstanding characteristics. Integrating resources of physical simulation laboratory, power system dispatch laboratory and power system distribution laboratory by applying bi-directional interface, operation environment similar to various voltage level substations site, such as EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility), temperature and humidity, had been constructed through coordination with digital and physical simulation. In addition, system level and component level experimental bed had also been built for the purpose of research, validation, and test in order to satisfy with new requirements in relay protection, time synchronous and network structure, etc. which are employed in substation. The research platform, just like for new energy accessing with grid, etc. had also been launched. The construction better satisfy with the research and test for new technology and equipment which are employed in smart substation.
