Abstract
Data possession checking is a useful approach to ensure the integrity and availability of outsourced data in remote cloud storage. However, most existing approaches only considered the single cloud service provider (CSP) scenario. Previous solutions cannot satisfy the requirement that to check the integrity of the whole file on distributed CSPs through a single challenge-response interaction phase. In this paper, we present an error-tolerant cloud data possession checking model (ETCIC) for multi-Cloud environment (that consists of multiple cloud service providers), which is based on Goppa code and Paillier homomorhpic cryptosystem. Our scheme uses the homomorphic verification tag (HVT) generated based on Paillier cryptosystem to achieve unlimited queried times. The Goppa encodeing algorithm helps to realize data error localization and correction. We prototyped our approach and analyzed the scheme thoroughly.
