  • Abstract
    With the rapid development of power grid in China, EHV/UHV transmission lines have been constructed and operated successively. Live working is important technical means to make sure these lines reliability. In order to carry out live working on the transmission lines, key technical parameters of live working were obtained by experiment and theoretical calculation, and the safety protective principle of live working operators was determined and the large tonnage lifting insulating tools and insulator holder were developed according to the characteristics of 750kV, 1000kV AC and ±660kV, ±800kV DC transmission lines. Meanwhile, Based on the research results, the rules and guidelines for EHV/UHV transmission line live working were formulated, and the on-site application proved that live working on EHV/UHV transmission lines was safe and feasible. The research achievements in live working on EHV/UHV transmission lines will be benefit to safe implementation of live working.
