Abstract
There has been rapid technical progress in Visible Light Communications (VLC) over the last decade. A consortium of UK universities (Strathclyde, Oxford, Cambridge, St. Andrews, Edinburgh) has been investigating the use of microLEDs for VLC. This paper focuses on improvements to transmitter and receiver that can increase data rate and link margin.
