Abstract
The modal analysis of losses has proved to be an accurate tool for their estimation. This work shows that, by exploiting the network properties of the S-matrix, the two-port loss analysis can be extended to cover important multiport filtering cases such as diplexers and triplexers for satellite applications. Computed and measured results related to a satellite antenna triplexer are presented.
