  • Abstract
    Necessary modifications and extensions into Layer 2 of the actual PON access are necessary in order to meet new requirements from services providers and users. We propose a flexible Transmission Convergence (TC) Layer architecture for Metro-Access next generation long-reach Greenfield really-passive PON network, compatible with GPON/XGPON and with support for multi-operator/multi-service at internetworking multilevel. This proposed architecture provides future Access-Core integration network.
