Abstract
The yard truck scheduling and inbound container allocation are two significant which affect the operational efficiency in a container terminal. This paper proposes a novel model combining the two problems into a whole. Our aim is to minimize the sum of delaying times and numbers of all requests. The model is formulated as an integer programming, and hierarchical sequence method is adopted to solve the model. Computational experiments are conducted to exam the effectiveness of the model.
