Abstract
In this paper a time-domain (TD) method-of moments (TD-MoM) technique is applied to evaluate the transient penetrated electric field through a rectangular aperture in a perfect electric conductor (PEC) rectangular enclosure. Solution technique is the marching-on-in-degree (MOD) method that calculates the unknown surface electric currents on the enclosure surface. Since the structure is resonant, mathematical considerations should be taken into account in the included integrations. The incident wave is assumed to be a Gaussian plane wave. In addition to checking the convergence of the technique, cases of normally and obliquely illuminations are studied. Also, shielding effectiveness is demonstrated in frequency domain. The method is validated by CST.
