Abstract
This paper presents the design and simulation of high-gain Bow-tie array antenna working at millimeter-waves (57-64 GHz). By loading a low-index metmaterial unit-cell in front of a bow-tie end-fire antenna, and double G-shaped unit-cell at the back of antenna, the antenna parameters, such as the gain, front-to back ratio, and side-lobe level are significantly improved. Simulation results indicate that the gain of 1×2 antenna varies from 11.8-12.7 dB over frequency range of 57-64 GHz while the dimension of array antenna is 13.3×12.2×0.5 mm3.
