Abstract
In this paper we investigated characteristics of the HFSS model of antenna array of rectangular waveguides with frequency-selective surfaces (FSS-shield) of semielliptical shape with expansion of operating band. It is shown that the region of transparency of the shield displaces down in frequency in comparison with plane the infinite FSS. In this region the shield slightly changes the form of the main lobe of radiation pattern of an antenna array. Out of this region the shield reduces backward specular scattering from the antenna, but increases bistatic scattering.
