  • Abstract
The work presented here shows the preparation and properties of CdTe nano films deposited on (111) gold coated glass substrate by pulse electrodeposition technique. CdTe nano films exhibited hexagonal structure irrespective of duty cycle. Optical absorption measurements indicated a direct band gap of value in the range 1.45 eV to 1.65 eV for different duty cycles. TEM photograph confirmed the CdTe nano particle and from electron diffraction pattern ´d´ value agreed well with the X-ray diffraction pattern. Luminescence spectra indicated CdTe nano crystals did not exhibit any luminescence.
