  • Abstract
A rigorous analytical method for transient dynamics description in cylindrical lens is developed and used to describe the possibility of beam control deflection or focus-like spot position by virtue of material tuning. Details of both the transient response and the steady state regime are described. The excited fields are characterized by means of a rigorous mathematical approach that is based on the analytical solution in the Laplace transform domain and accurate evaluation of residues at singular points of the obtained functions.
