Abstract
Cell cultures of the human lymphoma cell line band were exposed to 2.5-, 5-, 7.5-, or 10-G extremely low frequency (ELF) magnetic fields. Transcription of the genetic marker c-myc was determined in cultures exposed for various time periods. Increases of c-myc transcripts were detected in some exposed cell cultures. The increase of the transcripts appeared to show dependence both on the applied field and on the exposure duration.
