Abstract
The power spectrum of arterial blood pressure (ABP) was determined in salt-loaded spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) by autoregressive (AR) algorithms. The authors found that salt-loading led to sympathetic overactivity as shown by the power at low frequency and they concluded that AR power spectral analysis of ABP fluctuations in SHR was a useful tool to monitor the effects of salt-induced hypertension
