  • Abstract
In this paper we presents a high linearity CMOS up/down conversion double balanced mixer for Impulse Response Ultrawide Band (IR-UWB) applications with a 3.2-4.8 GHz operating frequency. The proposed mixer is intended for high performance, low power integrated UWB communication systems. In particular, the simulated parameters of the proposed mixer make this device particularly suited for cellular radio applications. The mixer is based on a “Gilbert cell” multiplier configuration and polyphase filters in order to generate LO quadrature signals around in the desired bandwidth.
