Abstract
The bandwidth limitations have been determined when injecting the modulating signal only at the phase detector or at the voltage controlled oscillator of a PLL modulator. To overcome these restrictions two-point modulation can be used, where signals are injected at both points simultaneously. The effect of mismatch in the loop constants have been analysed, and results demonstrate the tolerance of mismatch in the degradation in BER performance for GMSK modulation.<>
