Abstract
A new methodology for power system quality improvement, through voltage sags profile prediction is proposed in this paper. The voltage sag is caused by an increase in reactive demand due to induction motor starting. The methodology is investigated with the use of a four bus interconnected system. Mathematical and simulation results demonstrate the accuracy and applicability of the proposed methodology for the application.
