  • Abstract
    We survey the state-of-the-art in optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) transmission with direct detection (DD), highlighting cost-effective solutions for OFDM/DD metro/long-haul systems and OFDM-based multiple access passive optical networks (OFDMA PON).
