Abstract
A novel low-power voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) with complementary switch for low phase-noise design is presented in this paper. A T-network feedback oscillator is employed to generate the operating frequency. The VCO was fabricated by standard 0.18um CMOS process at 1.8-V supply and low power consumption is 4.14mW. The tuning range is from 10.27GHz to 10.4GHz. The measured VCO phase noise, output power, and chip area are -106dBc/Hz, -14.45dBm and 0.48×0.72 mm2, respectively.
