Abstract
Due to a host of regulatory, technical and marketing factors, microcell-based public cordless telephone service has not achieved the expected penetration levels. Four operators were licensed to offer "telepoint" services and another three were granted licenses for PCNs. Now the two operators left in the field are trying to overcome the obstacles that have so far obstructed success
