Abstract
Wikis are important tools for online knowledge sharing, web based content repositories and collaboration platforms. In several situations users wish to make printouts of Wiki articles, include or extend these articles in their own environments. Solutions currently available lack in content processing and in the quality of the printout, especially when collections of articles are selected. Transforming the wiki markup to structured XML content objects enables the user to directly use the wiki content in the authoring environment and allows rule-based transformation to other formats. In this paper we propose a transformation process to XML and then the application of a cross media publishing framework to generate the desired output format in optimized quality for the specified target medium.
