Abstract
We propose a new QoS-adaptive resource regulation scheme for multimedia stream. By taking the different QoS requirements of even links and different media priorities into account, we present a new model base on priority classification. We also present a polling agent on the side of the client that makes the admission control more flexible. First, the architecture of multimedia transmission is described, and the regulation strategy and method of network detection are presented. Next, a resource management algorithm is given to adaptively allocate the network bandwidth to every link of the stream. Finally, simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of our new proposed scheme and algorithms
