Techniques for adaptive websites and Web personalization without any user effort

Now days it´s becoming really difficult to extract the desired information on the World Wide Web. Resources on the WWW are continuously increasing therefore its becoming difficult to find the information that satisfies the individual needs of the user. This is because of Information overload. Web search engine helps users to find out the useful information but mostly search engine give back the same results regardless of who submitted the query. Therefore there is need of such techniques that returns the result according to the users need. This may be referred as Web personalization. In this paper we first describe various techniques for web personalization. Then we try to find out problem associated with these techniques. After that we describe various new techniques to overcome that problem.
