Abstract
This paper proposes the design and development of a modular pressure transmitter having wireless data transmission capability. The transmitter and receiver systems are made of completely off-the-shelf components. Transmitter module has a MEMS based pressure sensor. A microcontroller in the transmitter does the analog to digital signal conversion and baud rate setting. Serial data is then sent to a wireless transmitter which transmits the signal. Receiver module has a wireless receiver and microcontroller which receives the data serially and displays it on an LCD screen.
