Abstract
An important problem in H ∞-control is the design of a controller that minimizes the H ∞ -norm of a closed-loop transfer matrix, multiplied by a suitable weighting function which reflects different performance requirements over different frequency bands. Often, these are competing requirements, and in this paper, we show how we may efficiently compute tradeoffs between them using a simple application of tangential Hermite-Fejer interpolation theory
