Abstract
We propose a video watermarking technology to hide copyright information by a slight modification of the motion vectors in an MPEG video bitstream. By selecting the inter frames in the MPEG sequence and according to the bitstream of copyright information, the motion vectors are regularized into a modified bitstream, from which the watermark information can be easily retrieved. From the experimental results, it indicates that to embed watermark in the motion vector has the advantage of little influence on the MPEG decoding speed, little degrading of the perceptive effect, capability to embed the watermark in a short video sequence, and can be used to watermark directly on compressed and uncompressed video sequences
