Abstract
A new design for a coplanar wave guide (CPW) fed aperture-coupled-slot bow-tie antenna is introduced at the 38 GHz band. In this investigation, both inductive and capacitive feeding techniques are proposed for widening the bandwidth and matching the input impedance. The performances of these new antennas are compared to the conventional CPW-fed aperture coupled microstrip antennas. Using these configurations, a bandwidth of 9.2% is achieved.
