  • Abstract
A description is given of SAMICAFILM, a new generation of conductor tapes developed by taking the favorable parameters of existing tapes and improving them using the latest available technological products. The material shows outstanding electrical and mechanical properties and increased stability against corona discharges. In addition, it offers important advantages to the user during the coil manufacturing process, due to its unique polymer coating on the surface. Significant time, and therefore cost, savings are possible in the production process by using SAMICAFILM with bond-coat on the outside of the polyester film
