Abstract
A high yield, repeatable process route for the manufacture of silicon submounts has been developed and bonding processes established which will permit the manufacture of low cost modules in high volumes for applications such as the local area telecommunications network. Descibes the design, construction and performance of a transmitter and receiver pair fabricated in opto-hybrid technology
