  • Abstract
This paper outlines the benefits of an isolated resonant dc-dc converter to interface solar panels to dc-micro-grids. A maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique is needed to operate the PV module at its maximum power point. Since the output voltage varies over a wide range, the emphasis is on improving the conversion efficiency over a wide voltage gain ratio. In this paper, a topology morphing technique and the related control concept is outlined. Besides analytical investigations, experimental results which validate the described concept are presented.
