Abstract
Although the amount of consumption of Japan green tea is increasing in recent years, the person who drinks green tea in traditional manners of Japanese green tea has decreased. Many consumers are drinking the commercial green tea in a beverage PET bottle. This paper introduces the automatic Japanese greed tea serving robot "T-Bartender". This robot is developed by the request from the committee of the world tea festival 2005 in Shizuoka. The concept of our robot is to carry out the motion which imitated the traditional green tea serving manners. During the world tea festival 2005, our robot is not only serving a cup of Japanese green tea for many visitors, but also is teaching a traditional tea manner in Japan to visitors by showing the robot motions of tea serving, and the effectiveness of this robot about our design concept has been confirmed.
