Abstract
Frequency chirp in LiNbO3 electrooptic modulators is assessed and numerically evaluated using the FDTD method. Affecting parameters and suggested configurations are highlighted and finally, its influence is illustrated by propagating frequency chirped pulses in a dispersive fiber.
