Abstract
We have designed, built and tested a fiber optic repeater with compensation of a pulse width distortion for optical data links using self-clocked encoded data signals with a 50% duty factor. The compensation circuit reduces deviation of the input pulse width from a few nanoseconds to 0.1 ns. The repeater with compensation will be used to improve accuracy of multi-repeater optic data links for large synchronization and transmission systems
