Abstract
It is good for children to lean chess-like games to develop their various mental abilities. In Japan learning shogi, a Japanese shogi variant, is popular. However computer-based learning tools, especially database for this game is not sufficient. In this paper, a new database design for learning shogi, which enables efficient learning of standard moves, is presented.
