  • Abstract
The discharge phenomena of short gap, of which an electrode gap is 1 mm or less, show the different characteristics from the discharge of long gap. In this work, the characteristics of short gap discharge were measured with changing electrode gap, applied voltage and current in N 2+NOx gas as a fundamental study on NOx dissociation. These results were discussed on characteristics by applying the theory of self-sustaining discharge in the glow. This paper also reports on the behavior of NOx gas in the short gap discharge in N2 +NO circumstances by the quadrupole mass spectrometer (QMS)
