  • Abstract
An electroencephalogram (EEG)-based system which is able to detect sleep is described. A statistical method called `slope of the regression line by moving least-squares method´ is used. The method is real time and stable against noise. Experimental results using for a watchman at sea are presented, confirming the effectiveness of the system
