Abstract
To meet the requirements for the visualization and management of high-speed railways, this paper focuses how to used three-dimensional modeling methods in Arc Globe for rapidly constructing a virtual globe-based interactive service system. The 3D GIS modeling system architecture is firstly described. Meantime some key technologies such as the modeling flowchart, the 3D symbolized modeling method and the scene optimizing technology are discussed in detail. Finally a prototype system is implemented for modeling experiments on a case study region. The experimental results show that the scheme addressed in this paper can efficiently clarify various relations between scenes object entities. It supports fast organization and the modeling of the virtual high-speed railway scene.
