Abstract
The use of near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) to measure the concentration of elements in Irpex lacteus was investigated. One hundred and sixty three samples were collected and traditional methods were used to determine the concentration of adenosine, polysaccharide and mannitol. The spectra were pre-treated by avitzky-golay smoothing, fast fourier transform (FFT), 1st derivative and 2nd derivative prior respectively to developing calibration models using partial least squares regression with cross-validation. The results showed that 20 point savitzky-golay smoothing treated spectr established PLS model might be used to determine three elements simultaneously. The RMSECV of optimum PLS model for adenosine, polysaccharide and mannitol were 1.15, 29.93 and 7.97, respectively. The results suggest that NIR measurements can be applied as a rapid method to determine three indicated elements in Irpex lacteus.
